Dyeing Eggs for Easter

Today’s activity really took me back to when I was younger and I can remember dyeing Easter eggs maybe once or twice but I never remembered it being this much fun.  Maybe it was the company (my older sister and her two boys), maybe the bright colors of the dye, or maybe even the decorations.  At any rate, I just had a good ‘ole time dyeing eggs today and seeing how they all turned out.  It can get a little messy with a 5 year old and a 13 month old but nonetheless we all had a good time and one thing’s for sure, the smell of twenty-four hard boiled eggs can really get to you, phewwwwwwwww;-) Here are a few images from earlier today.  Happy Dyeing!

Finished product by my sister and her two boys

My finished product, yay!

Just keep snowing…just keep snowing…

….and keep snowing it did!  I can’t lie, I did a snow dance the night before and hoped and prayed that it would snow at least 3-4 inches and guess what???!!!!  We got it!!!  I woke up and ran downstairs and looked out my back door and saw nothing but SNOW.  It was just gorgeous outside, just like a Winter Wonderland.  Normally when it snows here in NC (very little to none) I am the only one that will go out and try to play in it but this time since my hubby was snowed in and working from home I asked him to come out and play and he totally agreed! It was truly a great couple of days of snow and being home with my hubby but we did get “cabin fever” so we finally ventured out on Valentine’s Day and the weekend.  Well, I hope all of you enjoyed the snow and survived snOMG!  Here are just a few pictures of me playing in my backyard!  Stay warm!

Look at that face and the excitement!

I didn't really want to fall straight back for my snow angel...sad, I know:-P

...and she's down, lol

My sister and I taking a break from sledding

Two snow angels!

Me and my boo thang! Love him!

PHO time…

Gosh, I know it’s been a WHILE since my last posting but it’s a new year and I thought I would start posting again:-) Yesterday kicked off the second snow storm here in the Carolinas and what better way to stay warm for the next few days than some good ole homemade pho.  Made by yours truly.  The pictures turned out great but the taste was even better!  It just hit the spot and it was even better today after playing in the snow.  I’ll post those pics later in another blog.  Hope you all enjoy and stay safe and keep warm!!!

Class of 2012…Congrats JP! {Charlotte, NC Area Senior Photographer}

Last week I got to photograph JP’s high school graduation party.  This young man has made his whole family proud.  Not only did he graduate with Honors but he has been given a full ride scholarship to college in Ohio.  I had such a blast meeting all of JP’s family and friends who came out to celebrate with him on this great achievement.  JP, congrats and best of luck to you on your future endeavors!

Sweet Hannah – 8 days new {Charlotte, NC Area Newborn Photographer}

I got to snuggle with this precious baby girl Saturday.  She is the cousin of another little girl I photographed last year.  Sweet Hannah is going to have a lot of protection growing up with three older brothers;-) They were all just too adorable.  Thanks to Mom and Dad for making the trip down with all the kids.  It was so much fun working with the whole family!
