Look Who Turned Two….

….my nephew, Gavin!  He was only a week old when he attended my wedding almost two years ago and now he just turned two!  Wow, I can’t believe how quickly time flies.  Gavin is so full of energy and always wanting to go play outside or in his words “side-side”.  I have been very fortunate to have the opportunity to watch Gavin grow and develop into the little man that he has become in the past two years.  He is super smart and super duper ADORABLE and I’m not saying that just because he’s my nephew:-P   I just love him to pieces!!!

Gavin LOVES the movie Cars and of course that was his birthday theme.  It was so much fun helping my sister plan his birthday party.  Thanks to all who came out and celebrated with us!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GAVIN!!!

He just woke up from his nap and now he is ready to party!

Carolina’s Maternity Session {Maternity Photographer, Charlotte, NC Photographer}

I met Carolina and her family through my mother-in-law and they are just the sweetest people you will ever meet.  Of course it had to be another hot and scorching day in Charlotte but we made it happen with her and her family.  If you didn’t know already, I get very hot and sweaty quickly in the sun and I don’t like it so I can’t even imagine being pregnant and being out in the sun — luckily we were able to move the session along pretty quickly!

Carolina, congrats to you and your family and the new addition to your family real soon!

Baby Ambrielle {Newborn Photography, Charlotte Metro-Area Photographer}

Well, Angie finally had her baby….meet Baby Ambrielle!  We did her photo session at just 5 days old.  She was so sweet and tiny AND did I mention she has a FULL head of hair.  Absolutely amazing!  Baby Ambrielle did not like being naked for her photos and she was upset and awake most of the time but with her mother’s comfort and a pacifier she calmed down quickly.  Once she fell back asleep I was able to get some great shots to end our session.  For a 5 day old, she did spectacular!!!

Angie, congrats to you and your family!

Angie’s Maternity Session {Maternity Photographer, Charlotte, NC Photographer}

When I say Angie is literally ready to give birth any moment now, I do MEAN any moment as she has already dialated 3 centimeters. I almost hit the floor when she told me but I was also prepared to play the role of Dr. Kortekaas if she did go into labor right then ;D Today we were back in my hometown of Kings Mountain, NC for the photo session. Angie’s daughter, Kailena, did a great job posing for the camera even though she wanted to run off and go play but we did manage to get some great shots. Another hot and humid day and another successful photo session!

Thank you Angie, for being such a great sport today and Good luck!!!!

Mini Sister Session

I was out and about with my sister, Manisone, and as we were driving around we came across this little farm and I thought it would be a great idea to take a few sample shots. There was a slight problem, I did not have a “model” to work with so I suggested Manisone to be my “model”. She was not too happy with the idea at first but with a little convincing (taking her to get yogurt afterwards) she took the bait just as I suspected:DIt was crazy HOT today and my “model” and I could only take so much heat so here are a few images from our farm finding. Thanks Sis, for being such a great sport!

Nice pictures, sisters!! The “bait” would have worked on me, too!
